Marloth Park has two small shopping centres on Olifant Drive. Marlothi Shopping Centre has a SPAR SaveMor with a butcher inside, a SPAR liquor store, a filling station and gas swaps. The Bush Centre has Ingwe Supermarket and its liquor store. For a pharmacy or a big grocery shop, go to Komatipoort.
Shopping inside Marloth Park
Between them, the two centres cover what you need for a self-catering stay: groceries, braai meat, ice, drinks and fuel. The shops close early on Sundays and the bottle store opens later, so check the hours below before you plan a Sunday braai.
If you're arriving late, the shops may already be shut. Pick up a few basics on the way in, like bread, milk, matches and charcoal or wood, so the first night is sorted.
Gas, firewood and ice
The gas shop at Marlothi Shopping Centre sells Total gas. It swaps 9 kg, 18 kg and 48 kg cylinders, refills camping bottles and will deliver a cylinder to your house for free. The takeaway hatch at the Tin Shack, in the same centre, sells ice and firewood.
Fuel
The filling station at Marlothi Shopping Centre sells 95 unleaded and 50 ppm diesel. It closes earlier than the shops, so fill up during the day if you're planning an early start for Kruger.
Pharmacy and bigger shopping trips
There's no pharmacy at either centre in Marloth Park, so go to Komatipoort for prescriptions and medicine. Komatipoort also has a SUPERSPAR and a Shoprite across the road from each other. Both are much bigger than the shops in the park, which helps if you're stocking up for a week.
